25-11-2005 17:18   President Viktor Yushchenko aired his opinion about need to shoot special film about Ukraine's three most devastating famines

The President was speaking at the Ukrainian House in Kyiv to open the Ringing Bells artistic-publicist exhibition, dedicated to famine and political reprisal victims.

We must have a film, the President said, which would profoundly illustrate what happened to the Ukrainian nation during the three devastating famines.  As President Yushchenko stressed, those fifteen million Ukrainians who perished during the three famines must be incarved in Ukraine's and the entire world's memory, and the film about the famines in Ukraine must become the Ukrainian nation's symbol, not to Ukrainians only, but also to the world's people who are not indifferent.
